BayfielD, WI September 8, 2020 Kayaking On Lake Superior: We did two kayaking trips. One was on through Apostle Islands Kayaking Company and the other one was through Lost Creek Adventures. We split them up into two different days since they do take about 2 hrs and are both 4mile long trips. On the Apostle Island Kayaking trip we saw a shipwreck, The Red Cliff caves and arch. The water was calm and it was an easy trip. We took two kayaks one for myself and the other was with my son and fiancé to share together. I believe it was about $65 per kayak. The second trip was the sea caves, with Lost Creek Adventures, which personally was my favorite. I’m not going to lie to you the waves were a little rocky. If you are not used to kayaking in these types of waters, it can be a little intimidating, but honsetly it is fine! Just listen to your guides they are awesome. I was totally a little worried at first but after you are out in the water for a while you totally get used to it. For us three we rented out one kayak that fit all three of us. Our son is eight years old so for safety reasons we were only allowed to get one kayak, which was great to be honest. We did a half day tour for $60 a person. They do offer a full day tour but after doing a kayaking trip the day before we were done for, ha! I’m sure my fiancé had a great time paddling us all back to shore since I wasn’t much help on the second trip. The views are amazing its so hard to believe that there is such beautiful places like that in the U.S. We are thinking of making it a yearly trip. The locals did say that the waters, this year 2020, were warmer than other years. Mainly due to the overall warmer summer.
